I DONT use the shock. I have a 14 lb sweet white fluff ball that needed to learn not to bark at other dogs and people. All i had to do was use the beep noise and the vibration a few times and she hated it....ahha Now i show her the controller and say Sophiaaaaa..... and she Stops!!! This watch is my second collar. I switched from the D-61 to the watch D-60. I like them both. The watch is a little softer beep and vibration but it worked for Sophia. What a lifesaver it is for me as she loves to go everywhere with me but I can't have her acting agressive. NOW problem solved thanks to jugbows collar. I hope this review helps someone decide.
Showing the controller is all I have to do. And the person who told me about it told me its the same for her Australian Shepard mix. The shock even on #1 HURTS!! I tried it on myself. I removed the shock probes.

This collar was helpful for the month or so I had been using it. My dog responds better to the beep and I don't need to use the other settings. However, the active part of the collar has cheep lugs (like where a watch band connects) and ours cracked within days. Also, if the collar gets dirty, there is no way to disengage the fabric collar from the hardware mechanism to wash it.
