So far so good with this collar. I like everything about it. However, the operating manual states "don't use an adapter with an output greater than 5V1A. So I immediately became concerned if I could plug this in using my phone or laptop adapter? The phone adapter does have 5V on it, but I still am not sure if it's suitable. This is a great little unit, but no adapter. The unit should include its own adapter. I will get my magnifier glass out and look in my "extra adapter box" for an adapter that doesn't have a greater output than 5V.
